The PIP Eligible Data Set consists of de-identified aggregate primary care data on specific Improvement Measures collected and shared by 31 Primary Health Networks (PHNs). The de-identified data is analysed and reported at both regional and national levels to inform broader public health policy, strategic planning and service delivery.

The findings of the PIP Eligible Data Set supports the implementation, management, and ongoing development of the PIPQI Incentive program. The data set provides valuable insight into the improvement in quality of primary care  and patient outcomes across key health priority areas. It also plays a vital role in informing and shaping regional health care planning, service delivery, and national health policies.

Data scope 

The PIP Eligible Data Set only includes de-identified aggregate data on specified Improvement Measures. It is collected and provided by 31 Primary Health Networks (PHNs; non-Government organisations) from around 5,531 general practices participating in the PIP QI Incentive program within each PHN. Any other data shared by a general practice with a third party falls outside the scope of this Framework.

Public reporting includes QIM specific proportions, numerators and denominators at national and PHN levels.
