In 2023, in the 67 communities that undertook screening, 1,300 (91%) children aged 5–9 were screened for trachoma (Figure 23).
By jurisdiction
In 2023, the proportions of children aged 5–9 in at-risk communities screened for trachoma were 91% in Western Australia (403 children), 89% in South Australia (213 children) and 91% in the Northern Territory (684 children). In Queensland, screening for trachoma was not undertaken in 2023 (Figure 24).
