People living with dementia are more likely to experience falls and severe outcomes following a fall than people without dementia.

This study focused on almost 19,600 people living with dementia who were hospitalised for a fall in 2019, and 113,000 people living with dementia who had no record of a hospitalised fall.

The study explored the presence of health-related risk factors before a hospitalised fall and health outcomes following that fall.
