Interpretation
Public institutions must be representative of the Australian community they serve if trust in them is to be maintained and grown. One indicator of adequate representation in politics, is the share of women parliamentarians.
Outcome: 6 Women are safe and respected in all settings, and experience economic, social, political and cultural equality
Sub-outcome: 6.3 Women enjoy full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making in political, economic, and public life
