Interpretation
A decrease in offending rates of sexual assaults and related offences may indicate that fewer people are choosing to use sexual violence. However, not all sexual assaults and related offences are reported to police. Changes in offender rates over time can be influenced by greater detection, or more reporting. The data from this measure should be considered alongside prevalence rates for sexual violence.
Outcome: 5 Children and young people are safe in all settings and are effectively supported by systems and services
Sub-outcome: 5.5 Children and young people have equal, healthy, and respectful relationships

Baseline: 2022–23
Latest year: 2022–23
