Australia's health performance

Australians generally enjoy good health and have an effective health system. How do we know this? We use the Australian Health Performance Framework to assess the health of our population and health system.

The Framework includes an initial set of health indicators that describe specific aspects of our health and our health system's performance. It also compares data for different population groups and different levels of geography. The Framework includes the following domains: determinants of health, health system, health status and the health system context.
